Phillip Baltazar
Founder/CEO/President
Phillip has been at the helm of America Funding, Inc., since its inception. Bringing fourteen plus years of mortgage business experience as an originator, broker and banker, his mission has been "to provide an enhanced mortgage experience for every consumer through superior customer service and exceptional pricing". This mission is achieved with major investments in process and technology, with an emphasis on leveraging the power of the internet and strategic industry wide partnerships. Never afraid to challenge the team to innovate, increase efficiencies and find more ways to improve the customer experience America Funding, Inc., continues to grow into a dominate force in the mortgage industry. Phillip and his wife Erica are the proud parents of eight year old Ricky, six year old Annelies and 2 year old Emilia Rose . Favorite pastimes include sailing, surfing, skiing, coaching Ricky's little league sports and bringing Annelies to her ballet classes.
Sean Casey
Branch Manager
McLean VA Office
Sean came on board in November of 2004 to
help open the Mclean, Virginia Office. On December of 2004, along with Phillip Baltazar and three employees, he opened the Mclean Office. He has since expanded the office to over twenty five employees and they have funded well over a 1,000 loans. Sean has been in the mortgage business since 2002 and has a strong background in finance and corporate sales. Sean graduated in 1991 with his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Providence College in Rhode Island. He was born in Boston, MA and grew up on Cape Cod. Sean lives with his wife Shannon and his son Ryan in McLean, VA. Sean enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, and solving quantum physics equations.
Richard Molloy
Branch Manager
San Diego Office
Richard Molloy is the Branch Manager of the San Diego Office. He has over ten years of experience in the mortgage lending business as a Premier Broker, as well as a Mortgage Banker. He started his career as a Loan Officer, and has progressed through the ranks as a Sales Manager, Production Manager, and now is the Branch Manager of our San Diego Office. He received his MBA in 1995 from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993 from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii while serving on Active Duty in the United States Marine Corps. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up on Cape Cod. He lives with his wife Lory and his daughter Molly in Pacific Beach and enjoys golfing, swimming, and team sports.
Jeff Pinto
Production Manager
San Diego, CA Office
Jeff Pinto has been a Sales Manager with America Funding since 2005. He has been in the mortgage lending industry for several years. Prior to joining the America Funding team, Jeff worked as a Loan Officer and then as a Sales Manager at a Mortgage Bank in the San Diego Area. Jeff grew up in Falmouth, Massachusetts and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating from high school. Jeff began taking college courses while on active duty and completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Massachusetts. After receiving his degree, Jeff worked for Reznick, Fedder & Silverman, CPAs as well as Ernst & Young, LLP in Boston, where he performed audit and tax services for real estate partnerships and trusts.
Robert Chasteen
Production Manager
McLean, VA Office
Rob Chasteen is the Production Manager for the McLean Virginia office. He started his career as a loan officer and was determined and focused, which is evident from the expertise he brings to America Funding, Inc. Rob has over nineteen years of experience in the mortgage industry; ten of those years were spent as an Underwriter. He also has several years of experience working on the mortgage banking side of the business giving him a well rounded foundation to assist in the overall productively of the company. Rob is a 3rd generation Washingtonian and resides in our Nation's capitol with his family. Rob enjoys watching football, traveling and cooking. He is currently in the process of adopting a baby.
Shane Anderson
Processing Manager
Shane is the processing manager for America Funding, Inc. He was given the opportunity and challenge to handle the day to day operations of the processing department in 2004. He has been working hard ever since, furthering the education and success of the department in this fast paced environment. He works with all of the company’s processors to reach both the company’s and their personal goals. Shane has been in the real estate business since 1999 and has a background in Naval Aviation. Being a huge outdoor enthusiast, he does what he can to spend his extra time hunting and fishing. He is here to make what can be a stressful time easy for you by getting your file through the mortgage process.
Stayc Barkett
Operations Manager
Stayc Barkett is the Operations Manager at America Funding. Stayc was raised in New York and transplanted to San Diego in 1997. She has been in office management for more than seventeen years and has been in the mortgage industry for over 11 years. Stayc has a Human Resource certification from San Diego State and has held her Real Estate Salesperson's license for nine years. Stayc's goal is to provide excellent customer service and be able to expedite all office operations smoothly and efficiently. Stayc is the proud mother of her three-year old daughter Mia Skye. In Stayc's free time she enjoys horseback riding, softball, painting and traveling with family and friends.
